2009 gt with 28,xxx miles. Tonight while getting out the car (car still on) i heard a lot of ticking coming from the engine. i popped the hood and it seemed that this sewing machine sound, a constant clanking, was coming from under the valve covers. any ideas?!

It could be the injectors. They're known for being extremely noisey. There's even a TSB on it. The clicking drives some folks nutz.

I recommend you get a louder set of axlebacks...

 

NUKE you always seem to be the only helpful one! haha i thought about the injectors, but it seems like this noise just started? unless i never noticed it? i find it hard to believe that its not new though. seems to be comimg from both sides of the engine theough so mayybe it is?
