Question Boost pressure

To anyone that has a Roush M90 & VMP 500hp kit what kind of boost are you pushing? I installed this kit & tune & my guage shows to be around 7lb. I have heard some are pushing 8.5lbs with this same setup?! Dont know why the big variance. I am in Denver so maybe thats part of it but i sure thought it had alot more power the first time i ran it after the install!! Maybe im just used to the power now?? I dont know but any input is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks

Boost is a measure of restriction under your air flow conditions.
Your high altitude and headers are both affecting boost.
