Ok, so lets pretend your goal is 650.

Sell the M90, super lowball, 2k in your pocket.
Pickup a whipple, or KB2.6/2.8. Lets say new - $6k
GT500 fuel system - $700
Forged rotating assembly from livernois - ~$2k

Total so far - $6700
Will you be doing all the work yourself?

Heads/cams - $2000

Total $8700

That will get you to your 650 mark with the right pulley no problem. Tack on another $500 for a tune and you're good to go. You may want to send off the input shaft of the tranny to get hardened, but there is no need to replace it with a 6sp.

I'm just saying it can be done for 10k. If you're a member on S197, there is a good read for a guy who wanted 800+rwhp. If you're not a memeber, you should join and read it!

I'm 99% sure you'll say you want 650. 9 out of 10 people that do crazy builds always say in the end "I should of stayed with 450rwhp / 550rwhp / 650rwhp"

My .02

You get the gt500 pumps with the whipple, but you are going to need more than just that. Bigger injectors, 8rib system or steeda billet belt system, monoblade throttle body, etc.

S197 what do you mean he'll need a forged short block over a forged rotating assembly?

A long block with fully ported heads and cams with a solid forged bottom end with no Chinese parts will cost you at least $8000. Then the supercharger is 6k. What about your tranny? You have a heavy conv. Pull one hard shift and you are picking up your input shaft. Pulleys, balancer $800. Heat exchanger $700. Fuel system. $1100. Throttle body $600, (kb stage II TB blows)Upgraded diff... Then add on $2000 in nonsense you didn't think about.

Unless you are ready to drop another $17k at least don't do it.

I am in for $33k in mods without labor. I still didn't do my tranny, rear and long block. I have 20k on the side for 650 rwhp with a Magnum XL and new rearend. I might not do it now that I see the power the 2011 and up GT's make with a SC.

That is reality. if you don't do it right you are wasting your money because you will just break it.

The blocks in these cars have been known to handle a pretty potent amount of HP when they don't have crappy stock rods being tossed through them.

There are quite a few guys running 600-650 with a stock block, but forged rotating assembly. If he wants to go to the 800+ range, he'll need new everything!

So who makes a stouter block? I'm guessing it'll be iron rather than aluminum.

Wow didn't even notice he said that. Sorry dude, 33k in mods? Looking at your sig, you're doing it wrong if you're 33k deep.

Well, yes. The iron BOSS blocks are pretty damn strong, and they come in big bore so you can go 323ci on those guys. Other option would be the Aluminator from Ford. If you can find one, since I'm 90% sure they stopped making them
