Default Intermittent P0302 Code w/ bogging

So, been racking my brain, scouring google-fu (which I admit is poor) and here... I can't seem to find my specific problem.

I have a stock n/a motor with SCT tune from BAMA (91 octane). The car has been running fine for a long time.

Coming up on the 60k miles mark, I decided to run some Lucas Fuel System Cleaner through the tank.

Literally minutes after the fillup/additive, the car tossed a code (P0302, P0316).

The car intermittently has the misfire on cyl 2 (0302) and since clearing, the 0316 (misfire within first 1000 revs) hasn't returned.

Sometimes I run down the road and get the miss, and hence bog, in all gears, sometimes it doesnt.

I am trying to avoid changing the plugs if possible, as I plan on getting FI in the summer and would be getting new plugs there as well.

I am now on the 3rd tank of gas. Normally I get 92 Octane, but I went and spent the extra $ on some 93 octane to see if it was just bad gas, and so far, it has repeated itself with 2 tanks (just filled up again and drove to work, didnt get a miss on the way to work ~60 miles, but I work for 48hrs straight so I havent been able to drive it since).

Next on my list is stopping at advanced auto on the way hom and getting some cleaner for the MAF/TB (Carb cleaner work for that? Or something else recomended?)

I have the black COPS.

Anyone else have any ideas what it might be?

Thanks.

Pull the plug from that cyl and give it a look. How many miles are on the vehicle and have you ever changed the stock plugs?

If you're having a miss fire, a tune up is definitely the first place I would look. Spark plugs and wires is a good start! If it's not all that bad and you're going FI in a few weeks anyway, you can try and ride it out to save a few bucks. You could also try and just replace the spark plug on the cylinder that's miss firing, that's perfectly fine!

I hope this helps, I wish there was more I could do. Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266.

Take the coil from cylinder 2 and swap it out to another cylinder and see if you the misfire code moves with the coil.
