Default Barton VS Hurst shifter

Im looking to pick up a short shifter soon so ive been looking into which one to buy. Ive been hearing talk about Barton Industries and Hurst short shifters. Which one do you prefer, even if its another brand? i have the TR3650 tranny in my '06 GT.

MGW is what i have... like it alot. It is supposed to be the best one out there, but i hear the Barton is giving it a run for the money. I would choose between the MGW and the Barton.

Most guys recommend the Barton or MGW, followed by the Steeda. The Hurst are apparently very hit and miss - if you go Hurst, make sure you get the billet one. UPR also sells a good looking shifter for about the same price as the Hurst, but I only know one person that has it. The old "Pro5.0" guys make one as well, but I don't know anyone that runs it. I had their older T45 design on my '99GT and it was excellent, but it's a toally different design/tranny now.

Why not Roush? Looks solid. I had one in my '04 Mach 1 and loved it compared to the Tri-Ax.

Steeda would be the last on my list. Only because of how sloppy mine got in such little time.

Thanks guys. I'm glad I asked because i never heard of MGW, ill look into that. But what really makes the difference between all the shifters? I'm guessing it has something to do with the way they feel

Everyone here seems to swear by the MGW. I'm about to order one myself.
