And oh holy crap talk about bleeding...I slit my middle finger open on something so sharp I didn't feel it. Only found out when I saw blood all over my hand. Gloves are a must when holding a wrench in that confined space.


Edit: Hey 808, where did you splice the m80s in? Right before the axle or after the x-pipe? I'm being told placement can make a difference in sound with resonators.

I found some neat fingerless gloves at Home Depot that I used. They were basically like Mechanix-style gloves with no fingers. I thought they were great because they gave you the fingertip feel of no gloves, but kept your hands warmer with cold tools than no gloves (I did mine over the winter so that was kinda nice), I guess during the summer they would also be cooler than full gloves.

They protect the part of your hand that most often gets torn up on this sort of job...the back!
