LED tailight question

LED tailight question
Bought a used 2009 mustang that already has an LED tailight kit in it. but i noticed that when i apply the breaks some of the panels of LED's go very dim, almost off...ive heard that it may be the stock flasher that cant handle it? any body have any similar issues or have any input on this? thanks!
