Trans issue?

Trans issue?
So i was driving my car recently and thank god I havent done any mods yet, still full warranty :P, but anyway, when I get to about 10 in first gear, shift to second theres a big clunk coming from the trans tunnel. I was talking to my dad about it (Mechanic for 30+ years) but lives 1800 miles away and he suggested that it be a u-joint in the front of the drive shaft or trans mounts. But basically what it does is when you shift to second from first, theres a big clunk coming from the trans tunnel, and the car rocks forward and back a little bit. Anyone know what this is? Thanks guys. Honestly thanks for all the help im a newbie

S197's have a two-piece driveshaft and that can sound like a clunk in many cases, especially at low speeds when torque is applied. If that is what is happening, the only way to address it is to put in a one-piece driveshaft (which would also be MUCH lighter as an added benefit), but if you are lowered could have fitment/clearance problems.

The S197 driveline has to be one of the clunkiest I've ever driven, especially for a sports car.
Warranty on an '08? Really? And you haven't done any mods because of this "thing" you call a warranty? are you waiting for the 2025 model to come out before you mod?
