Default Build Question

OK Guys, I know enough about motors to get myself in serious trouble. Let me start out by saying I wont be able to do anything myself, so I'll need to have this done for me.

I have an 07 GT with only 17,000 miles on it. I want to rebuild the motor with all upgraded performance parts. I'm lookin to get 500-550 horse power (Naturally) out of it.

What do you experienced guys think this would cost me to do? Keep in mind, This was my first Mustang so I want to keep the original motor block. I don't want a supercharger or turbo.....yet. I want to go natural first. What are your thoughts on price?

550 N/A is most likely impossible.

I'm currently in the process of building mine to 360-370whp N/A.

Full bolt-ons, heads and aggressive cams will get you to 400-420 whp.

I've yet to see anyone ever get close to 500whp out of a 3v, even with a stroked block.

Without spray or FI, unless you spend way more money than you should, you won't see those numbers.

My car is 525 right now. That's with a built motor and a lot of other stuff to go with it. U might as well build a race engine 50k. U need to do some research. How much money do u have. That's the question

Not likely to get there NA.
The best bet to get the most power NA would be to go for a 3.7" bore, destroke hte crankshaft, billet rods & pistons, high compression, highley ported heads and big cams, an aftermarket PCM, bigger injectors & fuel pumps, E85 fuel and spin it up to 9000 RPMs. At this point your cost is well into the 10's of K's.

the 4.6 3V heads don't breathe well enough to make 500+ hp realistic. you're looking at a crate motor or forced induction.

You can 450 with a stroker running 11:1 compression, ported heads, customer cams for that application on all the bolt ons and be streetable but at that cost you might as well through a FRPP Whipple kit on and call it a day and get more power.

Brenspeed builds a nice NA stroker engine! I don't think it's in the 500hp range however.

Won't be very street friendly either.
