Default oil temp sensor location

I have a 2006 mustang gt, 4.6 engine. It has a Canton oil pan. It only came with one bung welded in it and had to put the factory oil temp sensor in it. I am installing autometer oil temp gauge and sensor and want to know if I can install the sensor in the drain plug until I have an opportunity to drop the pan and get another bung welded onto the pan.
Thanks

I assume it is oil temp as it isn't oil pressure.

Found out it is a low oil sensor. Told I can take it out and my tuner can turn it off in the computer. So now I can use that bung for the oil temp sensor.

the 05/06's had a temp sensor in the side of the oil pan. Yes, you can get your tuner to turn that off and run your other sensor there.
