Cool New clutch

Hello, writing to find some info or if anyone has had this happen to them?

I had my clutch go out 3 weeks ago, I burned rubber and took off on a red light and my clutch wouldn't go into gear. got it parked in a lot and it still wouldn't go into gear. I had fixed and been looking under my car because i got a squeak going onn, but i happen to look at my transmission, drive train and muffler and it seems like nothings been touched under there, none of the bolts, nuts etc look like they have been moved.

My car is driving very good now but im just concerned that i may have been lied too, i watched a very good video on how to take the transmission out and it just seems like they haven't touched anything.

possible air bubble in the clutch line. it runs off the brake cylinder. your clutch doesn't go into gear, your transmission does. your clutch just doesn't go out, its like your brakes and goes out over time. if you can shift with the car off your trans is probably fine. I think you were lied to. hows the clutch pedal feel? same as always or easier to press?

Before the clutch felt hard to press down, now its very easy to press down and i remember now that when i had turned off it would go into gear but not when i tried to turn it on. when i did try to turn it on in gear it felt like it wanted to go but i it would shut down shortly.

i paid $1200 to get new clutch and flywheel cut etc, now i really need to go under there and really inspect.

I had a Toyota PU 1980. One day I was heading back home after a rather long day, couple hundred miles, and as I drove, got into stop and go traffic, the clutch stopped working. Got it to my shop by starting it in gear and making clutch less shifts for the last couple of miles. Mechanic changed out clutch. The VERY FIRST TIME I put my foot down on the clutch at the shop, when I picked it up, I told the mechanic it wasn't "right" didn't feel "right" - he said he had put one in from a regular provider and it was good. It failed, within weeks, he replaced it. FWIW
