Default Timing kit replacement

Hi,

At what mileage should I replace the timing chains, cam phasers, etc? Should I change them even though the engine is running fine, since I track the car a lot? Don't want something breaking and taking the whole engine with it. The car has 50,000 miles. Reliability is the most important thing. My car has never come back from the track on a tow truck. It does have a ticking sound from the passenger side, but I haven't been able to pinpoint the location where it's coming from.

Timing chain do stretch over time, however, it is not something you need to concern yourself with at this point. Chains are far more durable than timing belts. By the time you need to worry about chains, you will be deciding about whether or not you want a new car.

Or rebuilding the engine into something serious.
