Dear forum members,

I hope someone can help me, because there are not a lot mustang drivers in mine country.
I had a broken automatic shifter, so i bought an original new ford shifter.

I dont know if this was before the new shifter also like this, but i have this problem:

When i shift manually from 1 - 2 - 3 to drive the car wont change to drive. It stays on the same gear.
I told my mechanic about it, and he tell me that there is just van cable coming out from it and i put it in the new one.

Who knows what the reason of this problem is? I need to put it in park then back to drive to make it work again.
