Just installed a new Boss Elite Head Unit with back up camera in my 2009 GT....works great. Part of the installation included removing the passenger side kick panel to access the junction box to tap into the backup light circuit for the reverse camera trigger connection. As expected the installation also required removing the center console trim and OEM Shaker 500 system. All went well and the unit works perfectly! While picking up the various tools I used for the job from my passenger side floor board I found this! I have no idea where it came from...the kick panel area....the dash area directly above the glove box....the center console area??? I contacted my local Ford dealer, provided pictures (See attached) and they also could not tell me what it is. It appears to me to be some type of coil device...perhaps a insulator or some type of protective cover...but I just don;t know. The number on it is not a Ford part number. Anyway please have a look and if anyone can tell me what this is and where it should be re-installed it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all!
