Default Tranny update

Well, I just figured Id post an update. I pretty much made the ultimate decision to bring it toa shop because me doing it just sucks. Its been away for a month and the tranny isnt even out! Point is, I dont really know what Im doing so..(lol) and my buddy isnt really interested, and to be honest, I'm not either with the cold..Ill have the experts do it quick, done, and its done right.

I called AAMCO and they wanna look at, there probably gonna try and f** me though, I also talked to my uncles mechanic, and he says that Im "looking at a rebuild". Well thats not happening lol. I've heard these trannys are junk, so why spend $1200 to get it rebuilt? I look at that to be my oppurtunity for a t5. Only thing is, I'd need some friends to help lol because I dont wanna take it back to where it is now..But Im not jumping to conclusions! Feel free to give me some input if ya want

do the swap, its reallly easy and well worth it. The parts are relatively cheap.

True, Im not looking to spend any money on this tranny, especially if I could get a t5 cheaper than it would to fix the one I currently have. And the t5 is so much better. Anyone knowif there areproblems doing the swap? Do I have to do any modifying? Or is it a direct swap?I know I'd have to get the pedal assembly ect

BTW, I just emailed a guy about a fully rebuilt t5.

EDIT: He emailed me back. He wants $550 for it, is it worth it? (I dont know how much a rebuilt one is worth)
