Fastest I've ever had my 88 2.3 N/A auto (with cam and CAI) was about 170km/h (105-107mph) I had 215/75R14 tires on so my speedometer was a little low (between 5-10 km/h)

At 108 mine really sucked. The weatherstripping around the convertable top was bad so there was a lot of wind noise and shaking. Never had it over 85 with the top down.

One advantage of automatic. At least for turbo. You do not have build boost between shift. Mine stays in boost till let off.

Agree with MG man, your cars always in boost, but thats really the only thing I see appealing towards the auto (and commuting)

on any fast car that has it available i will drive manual. its fun and u don't loose that much power to the wheels. especially if its dd, b/c when i race someone on the street then i has the advantage.

In a decently fast car an auto with a shift kit is pretty fun. First time I drove one it jumped sideways when it hit 2nd around a curve and I just about lost it.
