anyone? ok, let me say, I realize that the obvious difference is the 2 bolt hole that the v8 starter has verses the 3 on the 2.3. and the different possibilities of flywheel teeth counts....BEYOND that, my question is....arent they essentially the same?. Isnt the v8 starter a higher torque starter? Do they receive power and apply to the bendix in the same way?
I have a high compression 2.3 (dirt track application), and I chew through 3 to 5 remans a season...its getting old. 2 0r 3 thousand people lookin, nobody chimin in?
Thanx in advance for your help.

At this point, there were only 77 views?

You posted this in the Forums Issues section...I'm going to move this to the 4 cyl section.
