Hi! Just wondering if anyone has anything done to there 4 cylinder Mustang? Ever since I got my Gt its been kinda neglected. Anyone know of an aftermarket exhaust? And has anyone heard of bolting up an SVO turbo to it?

thats out of the question. the stock internals cant handle the boost. honestly, there is really nothing worth doing to it that wouldnt cost more money than its worth. you cant buy a (legal) cai, and you cant purchase an aftermarket exhaust, you'd have to have one custom made. a cam would be your best bet, but thats a crap load of work for just one minor mod.

long story short, JUST LEAVE IT HOW IT IS.

i would find a turbo'd motor and drop that in there. it bolts right up, and they aren't expensive. i just picked one up for $100.

no there's not really any parts. the parts that are available take a crapload of work to acquire/make/install and arent really worth the time/effort/MONEY unless you already have the turbo motor to work off of.

2.3 N/A'S ARE NOT WORTH MODDING.

Sit down and be quiet. If you do a little homework, youll see the SCCA has a GT Pinto class, that runs N/A 2.3L's, and many many circle track circuits use 2.3L's. The GT Pinto class is equivalent to the GT3 class in SCCA rankings. The reason the pinto's have their own class is due to the style of suspension compaired to the rest of the cars. You have to run factory Pinto style suspension, while the later model cars have more technology in the suspension and chassis.

As for a worked 2.3L, its all in how much you spend, my buddy had an 86 Turbo Coupe with mild mods get walked by a N/A 2.3L with a wicked ported head, big cam, header, ported intake manifolds, and a few odds and ends.

yes you can build up a 2.3, i know someone thats running nearly 400 horses on it. but the fact is, you gotta rebuild the whole bottom end. and thats not something the average person will do hat just wants to recreationally mod their car, espically if its a daily driver.
