Default Stage 1

I am moving into stage 1 of my newest project build wich happens to be a 84 mustang GT convertable. The guy before me swapped out the 2.3 with a thunderbird 2.3, if there is a diference, when his daughter ran the old one out of oil. For stage one of my build i was looking at an intercooler, fuel pressure regulator, and a boost controler. anyone got soem used ones of know of any good deals. I think i am looking at the stinger IC. I also wanted to know what kind of pressures people are runnign these items at...

Get a fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, exhaust, a K&N filter, a boost controller, and an intercooler, that wil seriously wake the car up.

For the fuel pump, i recommend the Walbro GSS430 pump. Any 5.0 regulator will work. For exhaust, go with Stinger-Performance.com. Boost controller, doesnt matter which you get.

if you got the controller i showed you (www.boostvalve.com) start with one thread and see how much boost it makes

each full turn (360*) is about 1.5psi stop at 15psi and tell us how you like it

have you done the plugs and checked the timing yet?

what kind of exhaust do you have?

get an adjustable regulator for a 5.0 mustang (kirban is good) set it to about 38-40psi for now

i wouldnt run more than 15psi without an intercooler.

Dont bother with a fuel pressure regulator if you dont put a fuel pump in it.

right now th eexaust is a stright pipe off the cat, untill i finish getting my money togeather to remove the cat and go 3 in from the turbo back. the boost controler comes in next week so i will have to play with that. thanks for the tuning numbers. I also purchased a boost gauge from glowgaugedirect and after hooking it up i noticed that when i max out my rpms the gauge says i am running at about 14psi. any comments on whats going on? I have had a suspicion that my waste gate is sticking a bit because when i accelerate the boost wont kick in untill 2500 or so and hen it does it seems like it all comes at once.
