Thanks t-bird I had read some would work and not worth the trouble. I found several of these dodges with turbo. Can get the turbo cheap but gave up when found out not the same and too small.

theres a 87 tc at my yard, it was a auto, all left i think is the cu located on the pass side sock tower? and the head with a few rockers missing and the bottom end. wonder if the bottom is worth getting?? also on craigs list is a turbo mani for a 2.3l for 50 bucks. im thinkn of pulling the pistons out of the tc and transplanting them into my 89 ranger motor. t bird what do u think? is the crank different on a n/a and a turbo coupe block?

So would the 2.3 computer work with a little boost? Or would it run lean?

I wont be able to work with the boost. It might but you'll have to run a piggy back computer. evintho knows for sure though.

THE 2.3 N/A and 2.3 TURBO HAVE THE SAME CRANK!!!

Why would you want to transplant the pistons? Just swap the entire block and head. You could swap pistons, but youre almost garenteed to have ring sealing issues.

As for turbos, basically, all the turbo fords got the T3 except for thunderbirds like mine.
