It will clear but you want have any air running to it[:-] just move it to the front untill you can buy a bigger FMIC

i'm hoping the ram air hood with the 2 scoops help cool the TMIC a bit, the scoop looks like it'll push air right onto the TMIC...we'll see

Keep the stock IC for at least a little while, and give me a report on how the ram air helps cool it.
Does you ram air just open into the enjine compartment, or does it have some of the ram parts underneath?

Thanks, Lincoln

well since i haven't updated anyone on the project in forever i decided to ressurect this old thread and tell everyone what's going on...

i'm doing a 'complete' rebuild so that's why its taking so long...i basically live at school and work so i don't really have much time or $$. but anyways i have all the parts i need. i have a full gasket set for the entire engine, all new bearings, new head bolts, new piston rings, freeze plugs, roller cam + followers, full set of working valves (one or 2 exhaust valves were deemed ****ty by the engine shop so i had to replace them). anyways, i'm taking the block in this week to get work done on it (hot tanked and honed). after that i'm sending the head away for a good ol' port n' polish. i'the plan is topaint and put the engine back together over the christmas holidays and end up putting it in over reading week (february). i'm also putting an exedy stage 2 clutch in it too cuz my clutch died (remember - i get parts for dirt cheap[8D]). i'm in the process right now of putting in my new gas tank, sending unit and walbro 255 lph hp fuel pump. aside from all that, i have a new ps pump to throw in too (that'll go in with the turbo engine).

the stang is parked for the winter, so by spring time it'll be like driving a brand new (and way more awesome) car!

hopefully i'll snap some pics sometime soon, and i'll try to keep this a little more up-to-date

Why would you bore the engine out if it doesn't need it??? it weakens the block, just ask anyone running an E8 block (2.3 DP block) they crack the block when its bored .30 or more over. That wont happen with the 2.3 turbo block because its thicker but still, why?
