Default will this work?

Alright i have a 1987 mustang Lx 2.3L turbo sister had it she blew the original engine then she bought a 1992 regualr 2.3L with wiring harness and had a friend start putting it in..well 3 years went by and he didnt finish and said he wasnt going to so know i inherited this car lol...my question is will the 1992 2.3L and wiring harness match up to the 1987 gear and plugs...engine is in it already wires from engine hooked up all that needs to be done is the inside work mostly...so far found a couple plugs not matching up but could i go to a junkyard and get that piece from a 1992 or even a 91 and put it in there? or am i just hoping for something that wont happen lol

91-93 mustang. YOU NEED ALL THE WIRING! 87-89 was wired differently then the 90, 91-93 mustangs

(by all the wiring I mean everything, inside, outside, underside, engine bay)

Welcome Done search 92 uses distributorless ignition. Will need proper computer, engine harness. Hopefully a 92 harness will plug into the 87 body. The engine harness are separte from body harness on 87. Hopefully same as 92. Unknow if can convert to a distributor and use on 4 plugs. Harness on original 87 if used will have be repinned since it was pinned for turbo. Here is thought. Sell motor buy turbo motor very little to do since easy swap.

Like MG man said, do a turbo coupe engine swap, you get more power and its just as easy if you have the 87-89 engine harness (can be fond very easy) and it gives you 190HP STOCK!

MG man, they changed the wiring around both inside and out in 1990, then again in 1991 to 1993
