Default Valvetrain explosion

So I went for a pretty lengthy drive tonight, knowing I had no oil pressure... on my way home the sounds coming from my valvetrain kept getting worse and worse... some pretty serious ticking and obviously valvetrain failure... I kept losing power, and once I would come to a light the engine would get pretty loud, and finally after trying my hardest to baby it home it pretty much blew, i heard something pop, cant really remember, then the engine just cut out. I was preparing for it so i was already in neutral, rolled it into a plaza and parked it. When i popped the hood couldnt see any evidence of head gasket failure so im sure its the valves... What im wondering is what exactly it was? Oh well now i can move on to the 2.3t but too bad im couple hundred bucks short for a damn good deal motor, wiring, sensors, turbo, manifold and the t-5 $475 out of a TC.[:@]and lol. Im waiting for my dad to come home so we can tow it home with his van...

Test your compression, and then look in your valve cover. My bet is you either groved the cylinder walls or killed your rings

usualy when oil pressure is gone you melt the aluminum bearings on the crankshaft...and then it scruffs itself into the metal walls until its almost sized itself into one large hunk of metal...might be lucky and it well still turn, but i'v seen this happen a million times. if you had half the oil pressure than yes its up in yoru valve train, cause its needs full pressure to make it to the top if your motor.

Just remeber there Mthd, the 2.3 is built BETTER than the 5.0 (larger mains and better oiling I hear)

Got the car home ok... First thing my dad wanted to try was turning the engine over by hand, he turned it clockwise and it was jammed on something inside the motor you could feel it, he reversed the ratched turned it 1/8 turn, something heavy, dropped into the bottom of the pan.. sounds like a rod end. but the motor was doomed anyways. While my moms out of the country i get to drive her car for 2 weeks till i have enough to buy my motor(next payday). Im going to have to pull it out on my next day off...
Can anyone quickly name off how to pull the motor quick? my mounts are pretty stubborn, the one bolt that goes through the middle, its a long one the drivers side wont even come loose with a impact gun.

Torch and a cherry picker[8D]

Dissconnect all electrical, transmission (if you want it to stay) radiator hoses, motor mounts, lift and pull, also take the hood off[8D]
