esslingerengineering.com, cheaphp.com. If you have problems looking for a header for your car do asearchof early 90s 2.3l ford ranger on pacesetter.com or something similar to that. it's the same engine as 2.3l mustang. You can also use 94-95ranger exhaust manifold (they are built similar to tubular headers.)Idon't think the 1990 mustang had thegood cams.take the cams out of 90s2.3l ranger and put them in (their better). Or, youcould save some serious $$$ and turbo it.

There is a 2.3l turbo short block for sale on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...spagenameZWDVW

You could do a turbo build up and swap the engine.
Check this out too:

well i would like to end up with about 1-2k in the engine and drivetrain to support it. My plan was going to be to buy a 2.3l out of a wrecking yard, rebuild it with forged pistons, bored, camed, new crank... ect., so that i would be able to drive the stang how it is then come next winter when the engine is done just be able to drop it in.

1-2k will get you set for the turbo. but in N/A form you could have 140-160HP (stroked, and bo-port ported head and a nice cam)

The T5 will hold lots of HP (for the 4 cylinder) and the rear end will break around 300hp

What year is your car? (1979-1986 had the C3 unless its been replaced, 1987-1993 had the A4LD)

Also I would go turbo, better fuel mileage for the power[8D]

Do what you want... but turbo will be the best in terms of power to money to gas milage ratio. The hardest part is getting it to run right.
