I am putting together a new project. I was wondering if anyone here knows the length of the 2.3L engine. Or if anything, a picture of a 2.3l engine next to a 5.0L. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Ford 2.3T Fiero.. I already built a 5.0l fiero, soI wanted to do something new.

the 2.3 is shorter than a 302 full dressed, so should fit no problems. turboford fiero sounds sweet, head over to www.turboford.net if you haven't already. I just picked up a '67 Falcon 2-dr shell for a 2.3 turbo swap. Looking forward to seeing/hearing about the progress on your car!

Well i just measured mine It was 25 1/2. give or take a 1/4 .
that was from the back of the block to the waterpump pully,best i could see and hold by myself!!!!

Fit in a MGB nicely. Have turbo complet out of car can measure anythinG. Are you convertint Fiero to motor in front or adapting 2.3 to Fiero trans? Have read a 2.3 will fit a escort trans but is too long to go in a escort. If can remember correct he did this to a porsche. I like your idea. The only thing I hated about Fiero I drove once. Felt small like sitting in a bathtub and trying to look over edge. And remember I drive a MG Midget.
