Disclaimer: I have no direct experience

From what I have read, on a DD the log will be better, as it will be less prone to cracking. I already have a Stinger header that isn't mounted yet, so I guess I will find out.

I've read that as well but was hoping I could get some personal experience to back it up. When are you installing you stinger header? Did you go with the center mount? Do you still have a/c? I've read that its harder to do center mount with you a/c on the car which is a must for this car

Going in over the winter, and yes a center mount. A/C is currently disconnected, but I plan on hooking it up again so the car is bearable to drive in the summer.

Life, in the form of work/school, conspired against me. In about a month is spring break, and the pressure from both will have eased. Hopefully it will happen then.

I've heard lots of cracking header stories too. I'm running a Bob's log on Thunderstang that I bought used. Holding up just fine. Got about 1500 miles on it so far, not counting whatever was on it prior to my purchase.

I too am running a bobs log. Fewer miles than what Evintho has so far, but I plan to make up for it this summer!

The time I have on it has been great. No cracking, no issues to report. Flows pretty well, and I'm making some pretty good power with my set up as well. For as much a they get for the tubular headers, I would go for the log style header and save yourself a couple hundred bucks. On a daily driver, you wont notice the difference driving around anyways.

On a side note,

Evintho, I thought that 2.3 was on its way into a street rod. Change your mind or just haven't gotten that far yet?

It's gonna be awhile! Funds are tight! I'll probably drive Thunderstang through the summer, at least. The roadster is a long term project and is coming along very slowly. Just got the body out of the molasses bath so bodywork will begin next week. I threw together a quick cardomain page that'll give people some idea of the journey I'm undertaking.

Stingers intercooler is a CXRacing 31x12x3 intercooler you can get from e-bay for about $80.00. I use a ported E6 manifold and it does fine but the Bob's log is on the way soon.
