Default 93 2.3L check engine light stays on for a few minutes of driving

Last year around this time I replaced the air bag module in the center console on my 1993 Mustang LX 2.3L. At that time, the symptoms were:
Airbag light on dash flashing twice
Occasionally the module itself would beep at me
The check engine light would come on a few minutes after starting to drive the car, then would stay on for a few minutes of driving, then finally cut off. Car ran fine.

After replacing the air bag module, the problems went away. I drive my 93 LX every few weeks. I think the most I've let it sit was a month.

The other day, the air bag light flashed at me again. Shortly after driving, the check engine light came on but the car was running just fine.

I've started the car the past few days, let it sit and run for about a minute, looking for the airbag light to flash at me again. It did not. Nor did the Check engine light come on.

Today, I drove the car uptown and the Check Engine light came on solid on the way up for about 5-10 minutes, then went off.

On the way home, the Check Engine light came on with about 10 minutes of the 20 minute drive left to my house. It stayed on for about 3-5 minutes and went off. The Airbag Sensor light did not come on.

In each case, the car runs fine.

I don't get what's going on. Can the airbag module throw the Check Engine light too? Do I need to purchase another airbag module for my model?

I don't think so. My '93 has no module at the moment. I've run my scanner on it and the only codes i get are for high injector pulse width. Not even related to the air bag. You might have another problem. Also if it is a junk yard module it might be bad. The car is in the junk yard for a reason. And if the air bag module would throw a code then it wouldn't have its own light. So I think that you have 2 problems that just happen to be happening at once.

The replacement airbag module was a junkyard part but was noted as not wrecked/airbag did not deploy.

It just seems odd to me that the Check Engine light would suddenly start coming on solid right after the airbag sensor light flashed.

Yesterday I drove it again and noted that the notification tone (like when you leave your lights on with engine off and you open the door, or leave your keys in the ignition with engine off and open the door) will beep once, then not again. Each time it happened I did not have the keys in the ignition or lights on.

I need to clarify what I said:
