Computer from a 87-88 turbocoupe. You need a large Vam. Now for wiring, there is a company that makes a standalone one.

Or a 88-about 90 2.3 Mustang and then repin add wiring for the Vam. Naturally probably cheaper but more of a challenge. It is a standalone harness. Unsure how you skill as far as wiring. [Reading a wiring diagram etc] How to do that part of it. Also site has bunch of info of what may need.

Wiring diagram if going this way.

This harness does terminate to a plug. The other 2 connections are ground and battery. But still you need to add keyed hot, grounds, fuel pump, tach and few others.
Maybe a 4plug Ranger. Just unsure if it is standalone or has bunch of extra wiring in it.
A Merkur 2.3 is also a standalone harness. These car getting hard to find.
Hope that helps Maurice

that stand alone harness is a bit too much...
im not bad at wiring stuff up..i think i'll go that route if i go for it.
i was reading that if you use a harness from a non turbo u have to wire in for the vam.. i think this engine was converted to maf, would that make it easier to hook up or more messing with the harness?

i went on o'reilly parts and the have the computers from the regular 2.3 and the turbo 2.3 from the thunderbird for around 100 bucks.. all i would have to find is a harness.. need to do a little more research on which would be easier to do
