Stock shortblock, ported E7s with stock valves, cam, Performer RPM, BBK TB, Pro M MAF, 24s, BBK shorties, O/R H-pipe, pulleys, AOD w/ 3k stall, NX kit. Full weight LX hatch w/ all the accessories. 11.6x on the bottle. That's my old combo. It's quite a bit quicker now.

supspension, wheels/tires some weight reduction or notch, 6k launch stock motor, exhaust with gears will get you 12s. with juice you can see 11s

but remember it also depends on the location of your track and etc
And if you can drive!! Not as easy as it looks! LOL

Here is what I put together for a friend. 1985 5.0 short block with the Ford racing flat hydraulic cam with 226 236 dur @ .050 and .456 lift. a Ford racing RPM intake small 1 1/2 inch old school left over long tube headers. under drives, 750 dp holley carb, 3.73 gears, 26 inch slicks D3AE heads ported by me with 1.78 and 1.45 valves Ford racing 9 index T chain and the cam degreed in, 120 gph mechanical fuel pump and a 5spd. Car pulls 1.70 60 foot times and runs 12.71 @ 107 MPH. Less then 3000 bucks in the whole car.

^^ It really does help to take it to its absolute extreme because you learn the limits of your car and you dont drop the cluth at 2k and feel like thats all your going to get out of it because if you take it any further you will break something...

Low compression 331 stroker(for future boost), AFR 185's, 224/232 .555/.565 112ยบ cam, edel performer rpm upper/lower, 75 shot(soon to be a 150), 4.10's(stepping down to 3.55's so I'm not spinning the engine crazily over peak and I dont want a taller tire). 26x10.5 ET Streets, hmmf and some other here n theres.
Doing almost a full suspension change this spring.
Best time last year with the bone stock rear aside from gears: 12.2 trapped 113 that pass, but regularly trap 116.
Uhh, couldnt get my 60's down with the new power that year, ended up snapping an axle.
And about going to a steeper gear, I want better highway, I plan on running a nice amount of boost later on(15+psi) and 4.10's would be a bit short without a massive tire.

Expecting deep 11's this year with new suspension and drivetrain ****.
We'll see.
