Yeah they're ready for whatever the outcome is. They will consider it a total loss on March 21st. They better find my ride before then. I will soo POed if they consider it a total loss then a week later they find it in great shape. Basically have to sit around and wait for the police to find it.

I would be out looking if I were you. But I'm sure its not in plain site somewhere on the street you know. Did they say how much they were going to give you ? Im sure its prob no more than 2-3K. I dont see why someone would steal it and strip it or anything.. you wouldnt get that much money on parts for the car. If they wanted to steal and strip a car they should of gotten something a little newer. Hopefully you will find it in good condition. That would be awsome... im praying for you man!

they can't give me an exact amount right now but they did say that they pay market value not blue book. they said they search local dealers & private sellers for a comparable car, year/mileage/condition/etc., and average out the goin rate. i shouldn't get too screwed. they are also gonna pay for a portion of the brand new tires and exhaust I put on. Again thanks for everyone's support and for letting me vent.

Dont lose hope, once my brother in-laws ford explorer sport trac got stolen, the police found it a month after in a parking lot with a broken window and everything still in it, he had four screens, 22" rims, 2 cases of cds, he $2500 gold necklace hanging from the rear view, golf clubs, and his baseball glove. (he is a picher for the seatle mariners). A cop told them it was spotted there 2 weeks before they decied to invetigate it.

Yeah, its pretty unbelievable. They were ether to stupid or to scared either way it worked out good for him. Being that it took that long he had a choice of keeping thr insurance money and taking everything out of it or buying it back, he went down and took every thing aftermarket out of it and keeped the cash.

I am sorry about your car man. I live up on Whidbey Island in WA. I am a little nervous about parking mine anywhere since I just put about 4 grand into my car. I hope they get the bastiches that took it and give you a few minutes with them. Hopefully they will find it in good shape and you will not have to rely on the other crooks ( insurance company).

It wouldnt even be about the money for me. My 88 Stang is in 1,000 pieces. It has no interior, no motor, no trans, no windows, bumpers, fenders, etc. etc. and I would still CRY if anyone ever stole it. They wouldnt but if they did I would cry
