depends on the kit your using cause if you just remove the smog pump, ps pump and ac its not possible to run a belt around the crank, wp and alt without a tensioner kit of some sort. ive seen the alt on both sides of the engine when using just the 3 pulleys and a tensioner. there is also a couple different tensioner relocation kits. best bet is to get a medium gauge wire such as 10g and run it along the route the belt will be run and then messure the wire.
