Default Agree or Disagree?

Well I was checking out the differences about thermostats from the 180 and 160 degree models and I came across this site http://www.mustangregistry.org/Tech/...6/chap_06A.htm and if you read the thermostat paragraph it kinda scares me from wanting to put one in. I want to know what you guys think about that... ty

It says not to use a 160* stat....Tons of people use 180's w/o problems. You should be fine.

Oh ok so just dont go colder than 180. Only reason I was wanting a 160 is because Ive heard 180 is better for colder temps outside and 160 is better for hotter weather, like california( where im from)

There is no need for you to go lower than 180.

180 is the lowest you want to go. the 160 is to low and your car wont get into open loop and make your car run bad

If you upgraded your cars cooling system the stock thermostat should be just fine! In my opinion you'd be better off with a more efficient cooling system!!!!!!
