does anyone think my 84 5.0 will make a 500 mile trip to maine and then back again. its got 165k miles on it right now and im basicly going ot have rebuilt the engine by the time i go up there. im probably going to make it a two day trip and stay over night in new hampshire at my aunt and uncles place. and im not going to be coming home for a good two three weeks

haha thats the problem i dont just want to find out cause knowing my luck i will find out it wont make the trip. then ill be stuck in east bumble f*ck with an expensive repair bill most likely

well, only you know how well the car runs, obviously a part could crap out, but highway mileage is pretty easy on cars and its a Ford, so i think it'll make it )

my car made a 400 mile trip with 150k on the clock no problems

thats how i got it.. some guy drove down to MD and bought it and drove it to MA and was forced to sell it cheap.. thats where I came in and snagged it

miles mean jack ****.. hows it run? is it reliable..its ur car man, 500 miles isnt far, i went 1500 on a trip first year i got mine and barely knew the car, and all that happened was a belt shredded.

i bought it with 162 a little over a year ago and now that i got it tuned at the speed shop its running amazing i figure ill take it back there before i go up and get a full tune and oil change trans fluid and rear end fluid im sure it will make it fine i just wanted some extra input on it. basicly everything like ps alt smog pump have been replaced on it in the past year new electrical and by the time i go up ill have new intake manifold and maybe heads
