Default Car starts up then dies on cold starts

Then second try it starts up then runs but will adle like 500 almost die rev up to 1500 come back down to 500 , It will go back and forth for like a couple mins once car starts to warm up a bit it slowly gets better i have to take it around the block before it starts to idle normally. Then once the idle is back it will range from 900 to 1100 when warmed up . It seems like all symptoms of IAC but i replaced it maybe 3 months ago. Could it have gone bad already? Is there anyway i can test it?

Mine does something similar, and I know mine does it because I adjusted the idler screw a bit too much. Try messing with that a bit. Remember, away from the engine means less fuel, while toward the engine (fron of the car) mean more fuel for idle.

your tps is not set right. mine did that. Get the car warmed up, unscrew the tps so it is loose or off the tb, than set your base idle 900rpm is good. turn the car off, turn the key on engine off and set tps. that should do it. your tps is a throttle kicker, so when its cold it will idle high for a lil bit untill it warms up. if it is not set right it will not bump the rpms up.

You probably still have the EGR valve plugged in right? I had the same problem and its probably your EGR valve adding extra timing to the car and messup the startup. Click on my tech link below and read the smog deletion article to delete the EGR valve itself

I took everything out except blocking off the egr valve. U have to put the block plate in which i understand. Do u really have to tape the egr plunger thing ? The only reason for this is to keep the check engine light off right?
