Right now its stock but when i build the engine its gunna be boost friendly, what would be the best boost friendly compression? Yeah i think it goes to 15 psi if not i'll get the t-trim cause its good up to 26 psi i think.

Ok i have had a change of thought im not building the dart block after all i want to build a dss racing 306 super pro bullet short block with all forged stuff i now the question i have is should i go with AFR 185 heads for a supercharger if not what would be the best heads to go with? And i want to know what intake i should run with this? This is a very hard choice for me,and another thing is what supercharger should i go with this setup,I want 450rwhp - 550 rwhp what will get me there the best? And what size injectors and gears should i run with this? Oh yeah and another thing is this 87' GT is an auto.
DSS will put a matched package together for you, including heads and intake, and they do a good job... Trust me... The only problem is $$$$...

Yeah money is a big issue thats why im not getting the dart block cause this block is $2000 cheaper plus i would rather do it myself and say i did it ya know?

Based on my experience with them I believe they will make recommendations for your future plans if you ask... best head, intake, etc....

Well the first thing is that if you plan on making that much HP I would go with a 331. Its going to be pretty darn hard to make 500rwhp with a 306.. even with a blower. Also, I would not recommend taking that block past 550. DSS does fully prep all of their blocks etc. but its still a stock block and they are weak. Also, I would go with AFR 185's over the 165's in a heartbeat. Especially considering the power that you are looking for. But I do not think you will make power w/ a 306. Just My .02

and keep youre compression around 9 to 1 or as low as you can. lower the compression, more boost you can use.

I would go with something around 8.5:1.

I dont know but i run high compression with my 306 from d.s.s 10:1. Im going to get dynoed this year but im not near 500rwhp. I will say i have sprayed a 200shot on my block and it holds up....i rebuild every year..its maintnence that will help
What i was getting at was that the stock block is not that weak...its weak but not that weak

I honestly wouldnt try to run 550rwhp on that block. Also, like I said, a 306 w/ a blower. I dont think you will be anywhere near 550rwhp so I dont think you have to worry anyway.
