I'm new
Well i bought this 89 musting 5.0 lx of my friend for $800.00 and I know u probably get this all the time but i got this as a project car because i have a 01 cavalier and its not a car to be moding because it will cost a lot to make fast so i bought this 5.0. I have a cuple Questions about it r thay fast? is it worth me trying to make fast or make a track car? The only downsides that i know of is its an auto and has 100,000 miles on it. I just want other people with 5.0's and well anyone to let me know things about them cuz i have no clue about mustangs.

Well , stock vs stock , sure there fast compared to many common cars. But for 800$ , U must be starting out with a pile of metal, and a engine block haha.
Start off with small things, basic tune up , oil , spark plugs, remove the air silencer , (behind the airbox on the inner fender) toss in a k&n filter, then go to gears, then to exhaust , catback, midpipe, then headers. then to throttle body, mass air sensor, intake, and go from there.

its in his pics when i get some free time i will put some pics on here but i just want to have this as a project car and try to make it nice and fast it does have a k&N air filter i think. thanks for the input everyone i plan on doing a lot to this car

Well I'm really happy about this car i have big plans for it (even know i dont know any thing about it yet) well what do u think i should start with it has stright pipes a k&n air filter thick tires and a nice hood scoop?
