I just recently got my first mustang and im putting a 302 in it for a while until I can afford to put my 351 in and i need to know what i need to do to install an f cam in stock 302
I have the f- cam with stock bottom end and heads, and i love the power band!!!! If you do that cam i would get some gears mabey some 3.73's or 4.10's. Also get a timing chain and sproket. and if you can afford it do some 1.6 roller rockers, and hardend pushrods!!

if you have anymore questions just ask..

Stock springs aren't good past .500. I know of people that have gone past that, but I'd say it's borrowed time.... I got a Crane valve spring kit on Summit for $130 that's good to .550 for my E cam and 1.72's (.535 lift).

I was just about to question the rating on stock valve springs- something tells me its around .450 which would be too weak, correct me if i'm wrong

i've seen an "f" cam in a stock motor before and it was slow as ****
go w/ an " e" cam like stated above and save your self the trouble
and upgrade the valve springs
