Default Off road pipe without MIL Eliminator

Does anybody know if running an off-road pipe affects your gas mileage. I heard of somebody doing this and I'm, I mean, they're getting crappy mileage, although it's running pretty good.

Rather does anybody know if running an MIL eliminator will make it run better.

I personally wouldn't run an off-road pipe because it's illegal in CA...

It doesnt affect mileage at all, and MIl elim will not make any diff, other than eliminating the MIL..[sm=rolleyes.gif]

I don't know. I think changing anything on your exhaust would help mileage if anything... it for sure won't make it worse..
BTW, if your up for an hours labor every couple years get the o/r pipe. Im in cali too and just do that its not a big deal...

his a/f ratio might change, which could effect mileage. but im pretty sure it would make it run leaner. i would still go o/r. much more power and you dont have to worry about the f*ckin cats getting clogged.

http://www.promracing.com/tech%20info/8895guide.htm

I just read that the cats keep the O2 sensors warm. Without the cats, the sensors send a faulty signal to the computer and the car will run rich. My mileage is about 14 mpg, it really sucks with premium being about 2.30 a gallon.

I just ordered some cats because the exhaust smells. Now I'm thinkin that I might just get the mil-eliminators if it'll clean up how my car runs.

it's not that the cats keep the O2s warm, it's that they slow down the flow of the exhaust so that O2 can get a more accurate reading. same outcome though. MIL eliminator is just get rid of the MIL (check engine light).
