i have an 85 5.0 Gt and i just got some flowtech equal length headers. i am haveing some trouble fitting them in the engine bay and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what i need to take out to get them in. they just need a little more room to get in the right position.

Where are they hitting? Steering shaft?

well, it hits on the steering shaft and I just can't wiggle it into position. did you find a way to get them in?

got e'm in, I just ahd to raise the engine a little bit to create that extra room.

There ya go! I also removed the steering shaft. But, mines flaming river.
