Figure out what you want to do w/ your car...what you want the end result to be...

If you're going to mod it pretty heavily (boost; H/C/I; etc) then go w/ longtubes (Not easy w/ an auto). If you are just going to do bolt-ons or maybe a little more modding, go w/ BBK or FRPP shorty's since they will do the job and bolt right up to your stock H pipe until you can get an offroad pipe or one w/ hi-flow cats.

my buddys dad says that you dont need header gaskets, when installing new headers. he installed a header on my buddies svo without a gasket and has no leaks.

Go with MAC if you worried about price but if not go with BBK or Bassani.

Easy install, somtimes its hard getting the old ones out because of the header bolts may be stuck. Long tubes are a little harder to move around. easy adn best install you can do.

I've done both equal and unequal. BBK and MAC and they are not hard at all! As ong as the motor mounts are good they slide right into place. If the mounts are bad then you have to lift motor and it won't be long at all and the headers will start to hit frame so you might as well put good mounts in.
