24lbs not enough?
Hey folks,
I've been building my 347 lately and figured that 24lb injectors were going to be the trick. I got a sweet deal on eBay and got injectors and a BBk regulator with 35 miles on them for $132. Lately I've been pondering whether or not that 24s are going to be enough. I tried a calculator on the net to see if they were going to be enough at 90% duty cycle which is a bit high and said it would need 23lbers for 400rwhp.
Here's my combo...
SCAT 9000 347 @ 10.4:1 CR
AFR 185s #1387 w/ upgraded Comp Springs 987-16
Comp Cam XE274HR (.555in./.565ex.)
1.6 Rockers
Ported GT40
70mm TB
75mm MAF
255lph pump
Thanks guys I appreciate the input. I haven't gotten the pump, TB or MAF yet. I can get bigger injectors if I have to but would like to know.

RE: 24lbs not enough?
Those flat tops give you 10.4:1 CR? Wow, maybe mine in my 306 are more than I was thinking.
I would not run 24#s with 400 RWHP. I limit 24#s to 300 RWHP. I tend to use, on V8s, 7#s per 100 Crank HP.

And that was with the 61cc chamber. I'm sure it's different for your 306 since the rods and pistons are completely different, or it's the same...only way to find out is to put the spec into a calculator...
Well, it looks like I'll be exchanging, never even took them out of the box I got them in. I practically got my reg. for free.
Make me an offer...

This was the picture of them in the auction I got them from. They're still in that shape with the caps and -orings on them.

You think 30s will work?
