408 is a lot safer i think.I just dont like to have my setups at the max thats why i went with a 331 instead of 347.But thats just me.You will definately need some high flowing heads to help that moster breathe.

It is pretty easy to get 450 hrosepower even at the wheels from a stroked 351 with heads, cam,intake

do it ,,dont ,,get soft when it comes to the heads ,,if you dont have the flow dont do it ,,you'll be wasting money,,rember thats a big block cu.in wise ,,big block had bigger valves and so forth...lots of tourqe..

I bet you could mabye pull 450 with a 357 stroker, 10.1 cr , ported heads, and 550" + lift cam. And you could always throw a little nitrous into the mix
