Default dimensions for rear seat delete

I want to fab one up today.

Do any of you have the dimensions for the wood panels that need to be cut?

I dont mind doing it myself, i just figure this would save me the trouble of cutting it extra big and then shaving it small.

Just get in there and take some measurements! It shouldnt be that hard... just make it out of wood and than lay down some carpet over it.

Or you could do what i'm doing, use a giant cardboard template and cut it to fit and then just trace that on some ply/ particle board and get craaaazzzzyyy with the circular saw.

UMM i dont know if you are worried about weight, but wouldent the plywood weigh more than the seats did?

Yeah, I was hoping to break even with the weight of the seats and wood. But i'm going to be mounting Bottle brackets in the back too, so i'd like it to mount nicely on the floor. And I thought the wood may be a good idea. I planned on covering it with that felt stuff that people put over the cases for the sub woofers. Any ideas on a lighter material I could use?

You dont have too many options. You can use partical board or something And you should cover it w/ carpet.
