RE: hp?
it's hard to tell without cam specs, valve size etc..seem most of the $$$ is in the suppension..nothing wrong with buying a car like that..but always start a lil lower and work the price up...it's alot cheaper to buy than to build

yeah man i think i'm doing pretty good for being only 16......ive worked my *** off for 2 years an saved all my money up for this thing........ nothin is handed to me........i will ask about the stroker issue i don't know if it could be a 331 or a 347.........? i had no clue a stock 5.0 had 180hp to the wheels or i wouldn't of guessed it to be that high......and the car was did up by a mechanic. this car runs strong an looks like it was maitained really well. the engine is really clean i could eat off it. i just hope this car will be somewhat reliable. oh yeah an its being delivered to my house tomorrow night i can't wait..

RE: hp?
My buddy had a 306 with Edelbrock heads and some more goodies. He only put 269HP on the dyno BUT he was turning low 12s. Waxing Stock Z06s regurlarl.
I would say with your combo, anywhere from 250-300HP to the Rear and turnin low 12s due to the weight. I think it onlys weighs like 2800lbs.
My .02 cents

225 is the flywheel horsepower. Run it through a drivetrain to the wheels and it makes about 185-195 horsepower

I would say that if the car checks out, then buy it. thats a great deal IF the car looks good and runs strong. True, its better to build your own, but cost a lot more. I bought my stang with some work done to it and it runs great. Get the recites if he has them. also if he had the work done at a shop you can call them to ckeck it out.

RE: hp?
Ya because if he didnt tear the motor up too bad it should be cool. ... you better make sure it dont have no knocks or nuthin. Other than that it sounds like a great deal. Find out the compression too. DSS motors are built really well, so I really wouldnt think there would be too many problems unless he abused the crap out of it.
