Mass air and tweecer questions
Hi, I have a 1995 5-speed 5.0 with mods listed below. I can't believe it but I'm currently running the stock 19 lbs injectors, and apparently am running the stock MAF (mass air flow sensor) too.
I just purchased this car, and have an apt Monday for a dyno pull just to check the horsepower, A/F ratio etc. I have a BBK adjustable fuel pressure reg and it is set for 45 psi. My stock injectors must be near 100% duty cycle...
I just wanted your input before I go Monday. I plan on buying the Tweecer-rt to be able to adjust the EEC, and also upgrade the stock MAF and fuel injectors. Since I'll be getting the Tweecer and can effectively tell the EEC what injectors I'm using, should I get an upgrade MAF set for 19 lbs and just change it in the EEC for new injectors? Or, get the MAF calibrated for the new injectors and just leave the EEC programming alone (for the fuel injectors).
I read somewhere that when you use a MAF recalibrated for injectors, it screws the EEC up in other places...
Anyhow, which MAF (and calibration) and what size injectors do you guys recommend? When I made the apt, the dyno guy said to steer clear of the C&L as it is hard to tune...

RE: Mass air and tweecer questions
if your running a 9psi powerdyne setup you dont need 42# injectors.... you can do just fine with 24#
personally.. i would go with something around 32#.... but thats just because i have about 15 of them kicking around.... lol

RE: Mass air and tweecer questions
I was leaning towards 24 lbs, but don't want to under achieve
Anyhow, do you guys have air meter (MAF or MAS as you mustang guys call it) suggestion? I was thinking the Pro-M calibrated for the 19 lbs, then just change the reference to injectors in the EEC with Tweecer... any thoughts?

RE: Mass air and tweecer questions
Which injectors, the 19 lbs or the 42?
The previous owner said my car dyno'ed at 350 rwhp, but I do some calculations and my 19 lbs injectors would be way maxed out to hit those numbers...

Doesn't anybody here use twEECer with an aftermarked MAF? If so, did you get the MAF calibrated for certain # injectors, or just get it calibrated for stock # injectors and tweak it with the TwEECer??
The 45 psi + that I'm running now with stock injectors probably can't last! I find myself watching the fuel pressure gauge to make sure it doesn't take a dive...
