installed bbk throttle body and now car wont stay running
I just installed BBK 70mm Throttle Body and EGR Spacer and now i connect everything together and use the volt meter and it is at .9 which is what it should be at but i go to start it and it dies as soon as it starts. if i hit the gas it will stay running but as soon as i take my foot off the gas it will die.
I have Mustang GT 5.0 1990
Also to add...
In the BBK installation directions it says disconnect the Idle Solenoid Plug which i did and it says let it run but i can't even let it run because it dies unless i keep the hitting the gas??
Any help would be appreciated

RE: installed bbk throttle body and now car wont stay running
if it dies when the throttle is closed it prolly has a vaccuum leak... if all the lines are connected its probably a leak at the throttle body, did you torque it properly?

Oh and btw, savegoodautonfg1 if this turns out to be your problem, you will most likely have to readjust your tps voltage.

haha, im 17 so that means i have no life ither. when do you get a life? yes the tps will need to be reset becaue if the base idle is so low the car dies, than it will be like 1.7 volts by time it idles thats if you had it set at .98 to start with.

the aic could need adjusting too. the inverted screw across from the idle screw on the throttle. i dont know exactly how to but if nothing else, that could be it.
