If I were you,like the other smarter guys said, I would take your car in and have the gears put in then you'll know it was done right. It cost me about $400 with the gears to have it installed at a very well known place here in Wisconsin.

Shift kit do some reading and fallow the directions, gears have done prolly $350 or so. i did my own once you do it you will never forget. ford is easy i have a trick but im not telling haha.

lol..im pickin atcha bro! im lost to alot too but you can get the gears installed for somewhere between150-400 depending on what different places charge. id look around for somewhere cheap. gears are tough to change and theres alot to it. i had to have someone guide me thru and help me. and you need special tools too.

ROFL I know I know... i dont know much about anything on cars. LOL But i am trying to learn this is the first car i have had where i actually wanted to learn about it and make it better. THX for the answers guys, how much do you guys think it would cost to have gears installed? Also would it be practical for me to install the shift kit if i were to read up more on it? I dont think i would even try to install the gears from the sounds of it. But the shift kit would be worth it from what i hear right?

im glad and im not telling ither, it can only be done with ford gears and an 8.8 rear, that i know of. everyone says it hard, i found an easy way, if you call ford racing they will tell you
