Both of my breaklights went out although the third brakelight (wing) works. The bulbs and the fuses have been checked and are fine. A friend of mine told me it could be the turn signal switch but i have not yet checked it. Does anyone have any info?

my guess wold also be the turnsignal switch. your 3rd break light will bypass the switch but your turn signal/breaklights go thru the switch

also there is a ground wire in the back of the car behind the pannels covering the brake lights. might want to check that.
