let me guess when you had the motor apart you did not have the block checked for cracks? you did not have the heads checked or the intake ither did you? Unless the heads and intake were new i would not of checked them ither, but if they were used i would of.

You are correct, I did not have the block checked becuase I have owned this car for about 5 years and have had no problems of this nature. The heads and intake were both new. There were part of the Trick Flow kit. I did look over the heads and the intake and there was no visable damage on the outside.

was there a reason you rebuilt the motor? did it blow a hg or something? i say its just a gasket.

sounds like head gasket

similar thing happend on my monte carlo except there was no water in the oil but i blew the thermostat and it sent coolant shooting down my tail pipes (white smoke)

was racing an s2000 and won

Do cylinder leak test to check for head gasket leak. If all is okay on leakage test, then most likely intake gasket.
