a real gt 40 is not a bad intake for the street, you get to keep a lot of low end low end is key on the street.

Yea, your right about having trouble with it sealing. But its worked fine for me so far. But i built my engine all for top end power and i dont drive it much on the street. Im not looking for a 500hp firebreathing dragon or anything, im just looking to bump up mybe 20hp at the most and call it quits. My tranny just got rebuilt from me blowing it already. So im trying to take it easy and not add to much power to it. And the ports do line up with a slight bit of work with a dremel. I did gasket match it when i got it. I bought it off a friend for $150 so im not complaining. But i need more of a Edelbroke Vic jr. intake if you saw the size of my intake ports on my heads. They have been HOGGED out majorly, i never knew 302 ports could be taken out that large. I had to get a 1263 Felpro Gasket to fit it The tiny little Typhoon runners are pretty tiny looking compared, so thats a major restrictor.

ive been looking around and i think im just going to sell this intake to my buddy in a month or two and get me a Trick Flow Box intake. Its a little over kill right now but when i get out of colledge im planning to go ahead and take the engine out and drop a S/C 347 or something 302 based in. So i'll already have the intake. But im going to still port the Typhoon, just until i get the money to grab the trick flow. I've been around their stuff a good bit and its very nice stuff.

Im prob gonna go with a Trick Flow. Most of the guys up at my local strip who beat *** in they're cars are running Trick Flow stuff. And ive helped put on a couple Trick Flow intakes and they're really nice quality stuff. But when i get out of colledge here next year im going to stroke it to a 347, probably go with a Paxton or Vortech S/C and some pretty Major aluminum heads (still undecided) and either custom or Trick Flow Stage III cam. Im looking for some serious strip time and im thinking of running around 650-700hp.
